Every drop of water is harvested from Flow local communities. That includes all wastewater from homes, offices, shops and public amenities. Our Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) systems are revolutionising the way communities live and use water.

Wastewater is a precious resource that can be purified for a number of important reuses in a community. In fact it can reduce the amount of drinking water needed in a community by as much as 70 per cent.

Sydney currently produces enough wastewater to fill Sydney Harbour every year. This water is simply pumped out to sea with minimal purification, when it could be reused within precincts to create a secure and restriction-free water source.

Flow’s IWCM approach means our systems and processes are able to maximise the reuse of wasetwater, through harvesting and purification processes. We utilise:

  • Wastwater from homes, offices, shops and amenities
  • Stormwater
  • Rainwater

These water sources add to the total water balance and further protect the sustaiability and ecology of the local community.
